Southern France - June 2003 - Pont du Gard

Pont du Gard was built around 19 BC - it spans the valley of river Gard, and was part of the aqueduct bringing water from Uzès to Nîmes. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Swimming in the river permitted, nudism strictly forbidden (say the signs).
